EyeAssist

Revolutionizing web accessibility.

EyeAssist is an unprecedented accessibility and productivity tool for both users that have trouble with traditional computer control and for those who can take advantage of a hands free work flow.

Problem

EyeAssist was created with two core aspects in mind, reinventing workflow and creating an accessibility product. The program has been designed to exist as both a browser extension and desktop app (depending on user needs and hardware they're on.) The program utilizes the computer's built-in webcam or can be equipped with any camera if the user prefers, or does not have one. The camera is used to track a user's eyes and gives them the ability to both scroll and click without needing a mouse.

Solution

EyeAssist allows users to control their browser using nothing but their eyes to either scroll or use their cursor. For advanced accessibility use, users can also remap their left click to any input button that is most accessible for them. This feature allows for web accessibility that was previously not possible or had a high cost of entry. A better way to browse.

The result

Using the user's webcam, EyeAssist maps the user's eyes as they calibrate to their device. This allows for the best possible tracking in order to ensure a smooth experience, and should only need to be calibrated on the first use, as their eye profile will be saved, making it a seamless, one-click experience to get started.
